Mon Valley Green Space Coalition, as an umbrella organization, is a network of groups and individuals committed to restoring, preserving, and adding green spaces in the Mon Valley.

The Coalition began in March, 1995, when over 40 individuals representing civic and government groups agreed to build on each others' efforts to reclaim existing green spaces and to develop new green spaces. Our membership is a broad range of individuals, grass-roots organizations, non-profits, neighborhood associations, local and regional parks, and city, county, and federal agencies, working to preserve and restore green spaces in the region.
